Sure and it’s not hard
to spot that ‘v’ pattern in the night-sky.
The life out of death seen in Capricornus has another side to it: the
fish Aquarius was watering has
multiplied but they remain trapped by The
Band binding them to Cetus.
I wonder which sons of Jacob’s would have found something to identify with
here…
Perhaps Simeon who was imprisoned in Egypt by his
brother Joseph, who had also been imprisoned?
Maybe, and eventually the whole family became trapped in Egypt until God
rescued them. So what’s the significance of all this to the Redemption story?
Perhaps the nearby constellation of Andromeda gives us a clue – she is
chained to the wall while king Cepheus
sits in the corner on his throne, with his wife nearby.
It reminds me of the warning from Moses that
Israel would be ‘scattered among all people, from one end of the earth even
unto the other…’ which is exactly what has happened during the last 2700 years
or so.
But the Israelites were never referred to as fish were they?
Sure they were! Amos warned them: “he will take
you away with hooks, and your posterity with fish-hooks.” which is exactly how
the Assyrians controlled their captives – with fish-hooks thru the nose. Very
cruel but very effective!
Israel has never been the same since and even king Manasseh of Judah copped the same treatment.

I guess the prophets are full of references to Israel in bondage awaiting
deliverance by their Messiah.
Yes, since the Babylonian Captivity the Jews have never been totally independent of Gentile control and they have never had full possession of the Promised Land - at least, not yet.
Maybe even Christians under persecution could identify with Pisces as they wait for the return of their Lord and Saviour.
Yes, a Christian still struggles with temptation while waiting for ‘the redemption of the body’.
So where is that beautiful Andromeda Galaxy?
It’s a bright link right on that ugly chain of Andromeda’s! There is hope!
