"Father, save Me from this hour..." |
After Jesus
raised Lazarus from the dead, He entered Jerusalem where His public entreaty:
“Father save me from this hour…” was answered by a voice from heaven, yet the
Jews refused to believe in Him – the same Jehovah whose glory was seen by
Isaiah 700 years before!...
‘…I saw the Lord sitting upon a throne, high and lifted up,
and his train filled the temple…’
“Holy, holy, holy is Jehovah of hosts; the whole Earth is full of His glory!”
“Holy, holy, holy is Jehovah of hosts; the whole Earth is full of His glory!”
Wait –
there’s more!
In
private, Jesus had revealed to His disciples:
“…he that has seen Me has seen the
Father.”
The Jews had
no doubt what this Man was on about when He said God was His Father or “I
and my Father are one” – He was…
‘Making Himself equal with God’!
John told us
at the outset that ‘the Word was God’ and finally his friend Thomas realized this
too:
"My Lord and my God!" |
Who
agreed?
Matthew, quoting Isaiah writing
700 years before:
“Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a Son, and shall
call His name Immanuel"….
“GOD WITH US”
