Would someone please explain to us lesser mortals why the Commonwealth
of Australia still makes provision for racism in our Constitution, and why British theologian and naturalist Charles Robert Darwin (1809 -1882) is
highly honoured by academia, after publishing his racist title: 'The
Origin of Species by means of Natural Selection or the Preservation of Favored
Races in the Struggle for Life'. This was followed
by: ‘The Descent of Man and Selection in Relation to Sex' in
which Darwin stated:
"At some future period, not very distant as
measured by centuries, the civilised races of man will almost certainly
exterminate, and replace, the savage races throughout the world. At the same
time the anthropomorphous apes...will no doubt be exterminated. The break
between man and his nearest allies will then be wider, for it will intervene
between man in a more civilised state, as we may hope, even than the Caucasian,
and some ape as low as a baboon, instead of as now between the negro or
Australian and the gorilla.”
While we attempt reconciliation with our
indigenous citizens, Darwin’s pseudo-science remains embedded in our high
school textbooks, despite his flawed theories having fuelled genocide (eugenics
sounds nicer) producing thousands of aboriginal specimens for European museums,
not to mention the millions murdered under communism and Nazism during the 20th
century.
